Fiona Oliver-Larkin
Visceral Theatre: tiny wild worlds
Fiona is an Edinburgh based physical and visual theatre maker, teacher and circus performer. As a puppeteer and puppet theatre maker, Fiona is interested in how objects can be used to open windows into other worlds and other times, connecting us with moments and places beyond what we see. She wants to share some light and some shadows with you. She wants to see a more fair, equal, joyful and honest world- a post patriarchal world. That desire contributes to every piece of work that she makes. The stories that we tell are integral to how we view the world (Monbiot, 2017). Fiona’s work is actively engaged in the search for new stories. She started creating tiny wild worlds when she went with Puppet Animation Scotland and Swallow the Sea Caravan Theatre to the Festival mondial des théâtres de marionettes in 2019.
