Jay Frazer is an Edinburgh based Ceramicist who produces wheel thrown stoneware pottery. With inspiration deriving from Scottish Sea and landscapes, Jay’s ceramics are fluid, tactile works that achieve a balance between natural and contemporary. Her pottery ranges from tableware to one off vases and table lamps. Jay enjoys using a variety of glazes that she develops herself, alongside some commercial glazes. She often allows for serendipity in her work, layering glazes to encourage tactile and provocative effects, resulting in works that add interest to daily life.
