Growing up in the north of Germany I always loved nature and the sea, forest creatures as well as everything fantastic and magical. I studied graphic design with a focus on illustration and animation and spent a year in Istanbul as an Erasmus student. While it’s an amazing city I did miss the solitude and quiet of the northern wilderness. So when I moved to Scotland with its rugged landscape and stormy seas I felt right at home.
Just as I love many aspects of graphic design I'm also inspired by a great variety of sources when it comes to my illustrations be it the Pre-Raphaelites and Art Nouveau, graphic novels & manga, anime, or videogames and children’s books.
Artist Biography
I have been working as a freelance designer for more than ten years. And while classical graphic design like typography, layout, icon & logo design is just my cup of speciality coffee I also enjoy creating illustrations for use in animations.
