Hamish Draws in Back Ink
Hamish Kallin draws with a black pen, usually a Rotring isograph or a Unipin fineliner. His drawings tend to involve buildings and cities, whether real or imagined; a bird or two; maybe even some people. Some are from dreams, others pieced together from fragments of the view from the bus. Most are based on a reality and extrapolated from it.
These drawings are sometimes reproduced as prints, either with bold two-tone contrasts via a risograph printer, or giclee prints for more exact details.
Hamish has exhibited with the Colony of Artists since 2018 and has also exhibited twice at Burgh House in Hampstead, London.
