VENUE 33 - Oldmangrey, 12 Waverley Place

Pet Themed Cards, Prints & Gifts

Oldmangrey is the illustrative alter ego of Edinburgh born and based Graeme Andrew Clark.

Graeme’s illustration and design work is all about animals.  From children’s book illustrations to prints, cards, tote bags and notebooks, come by to see all the furry friends!

Illustrator of wee pets, white lies, and anything in between, Graeme creates personalised commissions alongside his pet-inspired product range and children’s book illustrations.

Graeme is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art and works as Head of Art in a marketing agency.  As a freelance illustrator and designer in his own time, Graeme is known as Oldmangrey. Sketching his own dog Pip led to other pet owners requesting commissions of their furry family, and the business grew from there. His pet product range including greetings cards, art prints, tea towels, tote bags, and stationery, feature several of his pet portrait muses!

After recovering from Leukaemia in 2018, Graeme created a fundraising print for Blood Cancer UK, and later partnered with the charity to develop a product range for their online shop. In 2020, he illustrated a children’s book for free to raise further funds for them; this book can still be bought on their online shop.

In 2019 Graeme produced his first exhibition ‘Let Sleeping Dogs Lie’, hosted by local café Art & Vintage.

In more recent years, Graeme has illustrated a series of children’s books, and worked with clients including Lidl, People’s Ford, and Salmon Scotland. In 2023, he was awarded the contract to design the medals for the World Athletic Indoor Championships 2024.

Graeme’s animal illustrated products are available in a growing number of small business retailers across Scotland and the UK.  He has lived in the Abbeyhill Colonies for more than 10 years now, with his wife and business partner Nicola, and their boss Pip the Dog!
