Back From The Beach (sea glass jewellery) incorporates sea glass with traditional silver smithing techniques to bring you unique designs that will transport you to fun days in the sun on your favourite beach.
Lynne Robertson is the face behind Back From The Beach (sea glass jewellery). She is based in the Scottish Borders, surrounded not only by beautiful countryside, but also beautiful beaches, the inspiration for her jewellery.
Lynne studied design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, specialising is ceramics. Fast forward quite a few years later, it was an afternoon course in beaded jewellery with some work colleagues that ignited the spark for jewellery making. Lynne enrolled onto a silver smithing course with the Silver Hub in Edinburgh, and has also done courses with the Jewellery Academy in London, ever keen to further her skills and knowledge of this amazing medium.
Lynne’s work is unique in that each piece of glass used has been chosen for its individual beauty, sourced from one of her local beaches in the south / east of Scotland. Sea glass is glass found on the beach, which has been tumbled and smoothed by the sea.
